Take a Beating
那天偷空去听了一个摄影讲座，有人提问已经不用的旧式手动机（SLR）有没有地方可以卖，老师说有，"but you will take a beating"，原来价值1000元的东西大概只能卖100元，虽然是亏，但总比放在那儿封尘划算吧。Take a beating = lose a lot of money.
