这两个星期女儿功课很多，有时要做到半夜，她的同学们对所在的IB program (International Baccalaureate) 的老师有以下描述：
I am sure that every day a council of IB teachers meets in Mr. xxx's room, where they rub their hands and cackle, "Let's see how many we can break with the homework tonight!"
The IB hell week has descended upon us!
女儿说 to cackle 是 "to laugh evilly". 精彩吧？
Jamie，昨天我可糗大了，我去學校接女兒放學，她們事先不知道我會去，於是我請office寫個note給她們，我說，Please tell them that mom will pick you up at the old place. "OLD PLACE" ??!!說完我就意識到不對了，老地方怎麼隨口就照著翻了，the lady gave me an odd looking,問我 "old place?"我又不好意思改口，只能故作鎮靜的回到 "yes,secret code."然後她做出一副恍然大悟的樣子，我臉上立馬畫下三道黑線。還有呢，雪兒的老師當著全班的面大聲的朗讀了我的條子。結果是，班上的同學全體思考這 OLD PLACE 的問題。嘿嘿，這下我出名了。說給你樂一樂啦。
